Since opening our doors in Long Beach, California in January 2013, we have never changed the way we make chocolate. Our years operating on 4th Street in Long Beach cemented the foundation for evolving deeper into Los Angeles. Every bar is still handmade the exact same way with the exact same single-origin, wild-foraged cacao from Ecuador: raw, vegan, and packed with high-energy superfood nutrition.
We are fundamentally creative people. Raw chocolate-making is our precise craft and medium. Music is our soul medium. Art is our portal.

Anandamide Records Our in-house label presses small-batch vinyl and cassettes in the same spirit as our chocolate — limited, intentional, analog. Our roster draws from LA’s underground with deep ties to experimental, ambient, transcendent energy that is the spirit of our brand.
Dang Wayne Olson Every quasi-rational artwork that you see is a bespoke creation for Anandamide by . From hand-drawn lines to glorious AI-slop collages, artist Dang Wayne Olson marries psychedelic mystique and inter-dimensional transit motifs with a signature Willy Wonka-level kookiness.
Los Angeles County Forever
Our roots are deeply planted in the Southern California soils of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Second-wave maturation came through community-expansion and service-evolution: serving chocolate at Leaving Records’ Listen to Music Outside in the Daylight Under a Tree. These now-legendary outdoor music festivals in Highland Park and Elysian Park brought us to the Los Angeles community that we longed to love. In 2026 we are living our dream, weaving our creation-thread through the LA-county food, wine, and music fabric.
Low & Slow Philosophy
We keep the tempering-temperature low so the anandamide molecule stays intact. We keep the runs small because every bar and every record is personal. We keep the creative fire high because pleasure is a practice.
